i think that monty is trying to run away from somebody because in the book he seemed in a hurry. also he was rushing throught crowds of people. i also think that he dosent know how to controle his powers because he keeps hurting every person he comes in contact with. That or he just wants to hurt every body. i didnt read far enought in the book to find out.

I think thank that the beast is a figment of there imagination because the beast keeps changing. i think it was fist a snake then jack uses it to manipulate the other kids. then he takes a pigs head that is infested with flies to make a totem to pleas the beast.

Monty is a boy who causes havoc every where he goes. when he bumps in to people he cases then to forget who they are for a moment. he seems like a person with good intentions but every thing just seems to go wrong. in the book it said Monty was a tale boy that looked intimidating.
